Thoughtful Process, Still Searching

I've been on two dates through Tawkify- no strong connections yet, but both were enjoyable and low pressure. What I really appreciate is the intentional process: in-depth conversations with my matchmaker, Chantal, meeting with a dating coach, plus filled out a thorough profile. A helping hand on a lifetime milestone

I had a lot of reservations about choosing a matchmaking service, as I have never dated before and was not sure I wanted to start dating now. Entering the app minefield felt like it would be an enormous chore – requiring skills in spotting who was genuine and who wasn’t, and who would accept me for me. WOW, is it a relief to not have to deal with any of that! I’ve done my research on several dating companies and read hundreds of reviews, and felt confident enough to take a chance on Tawkify…and now that I’ve been a customer for several months I can confirm that you get what you’re promised. Each person I’ve been matched with was clearly well-thought-out, and it shocked me how well I could connect with my dates…especially going in with either shared histories or shared passions we could build upon, and pretty much no fear of red flags or judgement! Is every date a win? No. I did have an evening with a ‘match’ where I could not find *any* common ground. My matchmaker detected my distress in my feedback, however, and when we talked about it she really listened to me and offered a resolution that made up for the experience. She turned a situation that easily could have left a bad taste in my mouth into one that took my stress away and proved I was in good hands. The way the entire problem was handled really increased my trust in the company – and in my matchmaker, Renee. Renee, by the way, has been amazing – really taking the time to get to know me, my hobbies, my likes and dislikes – we keep in contact regularly and she’ll ask me how my projects are going! I wasn’t expecting to click so well with the person handling my account, but she really has opened a safe space for me to be open and candid, which produces better matches. It’s also great having her as a buffer to discuss dating feedback, so I feel comfortable being honest if there *is* something that needs to be addressed. I had concerns that my identity (as a minority in the Rainbow Alphabet) would make it harder to date, but Renee helped me feel like the awesome, eligible candidate I am! She doesn’t just find matches for me, she also helps with dating advice and *relationship* advice, so that I can feel more confident taking my next steps. So, final thoughts – there’s a certain amount of sticker shock that comes from this service, and a sort of buyer confirmation bias which will come along with that in reviews so that one can justify the money spent. Have I had moments where I doubted my purchase? Yes, I have. But I’ve also seen the amount of effort that goes in to searching for matches and setting up dates, and then taking that feedback to better narrow future searches which produce really incredible results. The value is there, because the quality of the product is there. You get exactly what you pay for, and a matchmaker who is rooting for you all the way. The rest…is up to you.
